About us

The Nash Clarinet Trio was formed at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and consists of three musicians with varied backgrounds. At the academy they have formed a close relationship with Marianna Shirinyan and through international masterclasses a strong mentor and friendship with Katrhyn Stott. They have also learned from John Kruse, Wen-Sinn Yang, Mathias Beyer-Karlshøj and Björn Christian Nyman.

The group performs in the Churches and music societies of Denmark but also internationally most recently Switzerland and Germany. They have performed Messiaens Quatuor pour la fin du Temps with many different violinists, including Cecilia Zilliacus professor at the Sibelius Academy and Inga Våga Gaustad first violin of the Animato Quartet.

Ivan Doujak

Ukrainian-Portuguese pianist Ivan Doujak was born in the island of São Miguel, Açores, Portugal to a family of musicians, and was put into contact with classical music from an early age. Ivan completed his bachelor’s degree with distinction at the Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies in Lisbon, in the class of Alexei Eremine. This year, Ivan Doujak finished his Master’s degree achieving the top grade in his diploma concert at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, under the guidance of Marianna Shirinyan.

Ivan Doujak is a laureate at the competition Young Musicians Awards – Foundation Calouste Gulbenkian and scholarship holder. Currently, Ivan Doujak, performs as a soloist, as collaborative pianist, and as a piano teacher at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium and Gentofte Musikskole.

Arjun Ganguly

Arjun Ganguly is a cellist based in Copenhagen and Berlin and is currently enrolled in a Master’s programme the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen with cello professor Toke Møldrup. Arjun was born to German and Indian parents and grew up in the Netherlands. Arjun started playing cello at the age of 6 and was accepted to the young talent programme of the Conservatory of Amsterdam at 14, after which, Arjun completed his undergraduate studies in Physics and Music at Imperial College and the Royal College of Music London. Arjun has developed a particular interest for contemporary music, and has performed at

Klangwerkstatt (Berlin), Rainy Days Festival (Luxembourg), at PULSAR (RDAM, Copenhagen), and at Forum Neue Musik (HfM/UDK, Berlin). Arjun is also passionate chamber musician, currently playing with guitar, duo, clarinet trio and string quartet.

Kristopher Nash

Kristopher was born in Denmark but lived in Australia from 2011 to 2022 where he gained the basis of his music education, starting the clarinet upon arrival at 11 years old. He spent a lot of time playing with the Tasmanian and Australian Youth Orchestras throughout his teenage years, and moved to Melbourne to study his Bachelors degree with David Griffiths at the Melbourne Conservatorium. Kristopher has just completed his Masters Studies at the Royal Danish Academy with John Kruse.

Alongside regularly playing in symphony orchestras around Copenhagen, Kristopher has always enjoyed playing chamber music in the form of clarinet trio, wind quintet and quintets for clarinet and strings.

Kristopher is a recipient of the Donald William Bequest Scholarship, the Melbourne Conservatorium Artist Portfolio Prize and the Ormond Exhibitions Scholarship.
